7. Tony Shalhoub
Emmy and Tony award-winning actor, Tony Shalhoub, is best know for his role as Adrian Monk in Monk. He currently stars in Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Shalhoub confirmed that he and his wife tested positive for corona in April, and they have both recovered.
Shalhoub told fans that it was a horrible experience, and the virus is not a joke. During the pandemic, he has tried to bring some joy to the world by reprising his OCD character, Adrian Monk, for Peacock's At-Home Variety Show. He just wants to make people laugh when then need it the most.
8. Idris Elba
After realizing he was exposed to someone who tested positive, Idris Elba got a test, and it came back positive as well. While he barely had any symptoms, Elba was taking it seriously and isolating to keep others safe. His wife was not tested, but she did not show any symptoms and remained in isolation with him.
Elba and his wife are UN Goodwill Ambassadors, and they joined forces with the UNIFAD to launch a $40 million fund for those who live in rural areas and are forgotten about by the government. Elba said that now is the time to think about each other and stand in solidarity for those who have been affected.
9. Alyssa Milano
In early July, Alyssa Milano shared with fans that she was diagnosed with coronavirus. She told fans that it felt like an elephant was sitting on her chest, and she needed help breathing. She was given oxygen to help with the shortness of breath, and her other symptoms slowly subsided.
As Milano has slowly started to recover, she shared a video of a symptom no one is talking about. While it is not listed on the CDC website, Milano showed her followers that coronavirus has caused her hair to start falling out in clumps. In the video, she brushed her hair and showed fans how much was coming off of her comb.
10. Andrea Bocelli
Italian opera legend, Andrea Bocelli and his family all tested positive for coronavirus back in march. They have since recovered, but he said it was a complete nightmare. The blind singer who has been known for his innovative style of music was outspoken about the lockdowns in Italy and felt like he was being put in prison without committing a crime.
Bocelli's admitted he broke lockdown rules, but has since apologized for his actions. During the period, he became a symbol of unity in Italy when he sang in an empty Milan cathedral on Easter Sunday, which was live-streamed on YouTube. Since recovering, he and his wife have donated their plasma for research.
11. Anna Camp
You may remember Anna Camp for her role in the Pitch Perfect movies, and now she is back singing a different tune. In July, she shared a post stating that although she tested negative for the virus, she was extremely sick for three weeks and still has lingering symptoms.
While she had been very cautious with wearing and mask and using hand sanitizer, when the world started to open up again, she went out without a mask once. It only took one trip outside without a mask for her to contract the virus. Camp said that she had a fever, was dizzy, fatigued, and had an upset stomach. She encourages everyone to do their part and wear a mask because she doesn't want anyone to have her experience.
12. Kevin Durant
Basketball legend Kevin Durant was one of the many athletes to contract coronavirus. Durant and at least three of his Brooklyn Nets teammates tested positive in early March. The NBA postponed games during the pandemic to stop the spread of the virus.
As the NBA is trying to continue its season in Florida, the athletes have been restricted to bubbles, where only spouses are allowed to enter. Durant and his infected teammates went into isolation and have since recovered.
